Hotel Morgana ROME is The Best Four Star Hotel Iin ROME
RispondiEliminaSpent a January weekend break with a large group of friends at the Morgana. We had a range of rooms, and we were all located helpfully on the same floor.
RispondiEliminaOur room overlooked a small courtyard and it was nice to be able to open a window and listen to the sounds of Roman life. Although small, the room had everything you need, including a tv with bbc worldservice for the football results! Bathroom was bright and clean, with a jacuzzi bath (very difficult to turn off - be warned!)
Location was excellent - walked from the Termini station to the hotel in a few minutes. Plenty of restaurants in the area and shops, cash points, bars around too. We found it easy to get around and enjoy the sights of Rome. Front desk has an excellent supply of maps - just ask.
Breakfast was ample; a small selection of cooked food, cereal and pastries. Order hot drinks from the waitress!
We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again, as would our friends, and are looking forward to going back to Rome!
I just got back from a 17 day stay in Italy with my 3 children and mother. We stayed in Rome at the start of our trip then traveled south to Sicily and worked our way back up to Rome for our last night. The last place we stayed was Hotel Morgana for one night. What a welcome change it was. It is a very clean and beautiful hotel! The beds are comfy and the rooms are warm and quiet. The showers were clean and big with a nice bathtub and hot water that lasted forever. The service is beyond what we had anywhere else in Italy. The price was very good too. We had two adjoining rooms for the 5 of us and only paid 175 euro for the night. We had free wifi from anywhere in the building...including our room. In other hotels we had to pay for the wifi and only use it in the lobby. My teen was thrilled to use her laptop and catch up with friends after being out of touch for the last two weeks. I didn't have to worry about her being down in the lobby alone because she could use it from the room. The breakfast was excellent. It was in a very pretty room with big comfy chairs and great service. It included scrambled eggs and meats and lots of other choices that we had not seen before in more expensive hotels. The staff spoke very good english...which at this point in the trip was a nice relief to us. The hotel is within walking distance (2 blocks) to the termini train station...so no 30 Euro fee for a taxi. Before the trip I was under the impression that it was not a good idea to stay near termini. But it was fine and nice to be so close to the metro, buses, and trains to go anywhere in Rome easily. We had stayed near piazza navona at the start of our trip and it was nice to be on the little cobble stone streets in the quiet area of Rome. But I would not do it again since everything closes and you are away from the action. This hotel was safe and very beautiful inside. I highly recomend Hotel Morgana for anyone staying in Rome.
RispondiEliminaHad a wonderful stay in Rome at this hotel. Staff very helpful. Breakfast room delightful and great breakfast. Found the breakfast staff to be run off their feet; however, a little patience and appreciation goes a long way. Room was clean and comfortable - we did not experience any of the problems that others had. Close to the metro and buses. Great little restaurant across the street. Would definitely return.
RispondiEliminaEasy to find just a street from the termini. Good hotel, we booked two rooms and both were of a good standard, clean and comfortable, Hotel recetion staff were so helpfull and spoke really good english. it was not as close to the sights as i thought, but we managed to find our way around. Spent four days seeing the magnificent sights of Rome and came home tired but happy.
RispondiEliminaThe location was great, the staff were friendly & the room was lovely
RispondiEliminaThis is a great hotel and I recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient budget hotel in Rome. It is very close to the train station (2 min walk)/metro and also walkable to other sites (15 min walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps). Most of all, for the price you cannot beat the quality of the hotel. The rooms are very sleek/trendy and the service is fantastic. We ended up staying here by chance because it was the only hotel available at a decent rate, and we loved it. I have stayed at many budget hotels in Italy, and this by far is the best. We paid 120 Euro per night, and it was well worth it.. The breakfast was standard, the room was fantastic, very clean, and the staff was very helpful. There are many restaurants nearby as well. I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a gem at a decent price, this is it! I suggest you book through the hotel's website - that had the best rate
RispondiEliminaI stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Very nice stay. Exellent location..located near Termini station. about 2 minutes walk. very convient if you travel with laggage..I didnt hear any noise in night time.. I had a room for single person. it was kind of small .. most rooms like that in Italy.. But very clean..Shower was great.. Breakfast if OK as well.... Staff was nice and polite.Certantly its kind of pricy.. But check rates of their web.. i think sometimes they have speials for 3 nights. and its much cheaper then to book on other web sites..
RispondiEliminaI would definetly stay there again .. unless i will look for something cheaper....
Its 4 star hotel... and its good 4 star hotel
arrived at the termini station asked directions, and walked literally 3 minutes to the hotel. some girls off our flight didn't know where the hotel was so jumped into a taxi and were charged 14euros!!! it took more time to load the cases into the boot than it did to drive to the hotel! BEWARE!!!
RispondiEliminawere we offered a seat while we waited to check in, then the bellboy took our cases up to our room. the lifts are very small, one only takes 2 people and the other takes 3.
our room at the back of the hotel had a view of washing lines and windows to other apartments, so ask for a room at the front. it didn't bother us at all as we were only sleeping there.
the usual toiletries were supplied along with the largest bath towels we've ever seen! the handtowels weren't up to much though, like a cloth material.
room had tv, phone, fridge, quite a hard bed, wardrobes etc.
mini bar filled on request but you just had to ring room service for food and drinks required.
the breakfast room was clean and large enough not to have to wait for a table and there was a good choice. cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, cold meats, pasteries, various bread buns,tea,coffee,juices...etc. and you weren't rushed to leave. breakfast is from 6.45-10.00am
the location is great, we walked to most of the sights. did the tour bus but it was a waste of time really as you can walk to all of the places it goes to.
nearby the hotel are bars, restaurants, shops etc. but late at night round by the station there are a lot of beggars, tramps etc which can make you feel uneasy so avoid that area.
overall a brilliant 4* hotel. we would stay there again.
really great little hotel for the tourist/traveller intent on seeing Rome. Only about 100 metres from the platform for the shuttle train to the airport and within very easy walking distance of all the major sites of Rome. Many of the sites (Forum etc) are a couple of kilometres away but when you are walking in a city with history all round, who cares? The hotel rooms are all recently refurbished, very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning works well (not always the case in even expensive hotels). the staff are very helpful and the continental breakfasts are served in the bright friendly breakfast room where the breakfast supplied is more than adequate to get you off to a good start for the day.
RispondiEliminaEvening meal, Trattoria Da Giovanni, straight across the road from the hotel serves great Italian food at very resonable prices and at the drop of a hat the waiter will pick up his guitar and sing. Great atmosphere.
Staff is very helpful and courteous. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe here. I will definitely stay at the Morgana again. It is in a very convenient location (Termini Station and all the buses).
RispondiEliminaWe chose a hotel in rome near the Termini as we had come by train from the airport and we were travelling to Civitavecchia the next day.
RispondiEliminaWe were given a large room, well furnished and very clean. The bathroom was very old, but clean but with very dim lighting. One plus point as far as we were concerned is that the hotel is totally non-smoking.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast is good. The big plus point of the hotel is really the location for getting around Rome on the buses, metro etc. You can pick up all the transportation you might want or need within a couple of minutes walk..
We found a good restaurant, Le Ginestre very close to the hotel and had two really good meals there for a very reasonable price. The staff were really pleasant and happy!
This hotel might not suit everybody, but for what we wanted, it suited us down to the ground.
We would love to return to Rome and would definitely consider this hotel again.
This hotel is located in Rome about two blocks from Termini train station. From here you can get just about anywhere. There are local metro stops and many busses and even tour bus stops. This area is a little run down, but the convienence and wonderful staff, make a stay here worthwhile.
